Biography

I earned my BA from Howard University in 2016, and after winning the Marshall Scholarship I received an MA from the University of Manchester in 2017. My research interests include historical fiction, diaspora studies, and Black writers in exile. More broadly, I study the performance of solidarity in African American letters. I was awarded honorable mention for the Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship in 2018, and I serve as an admissions assistant with UChicago GRAD.
