Biography

Jacob Harris earned his B.A in English from York University, Toronto. Before coming to Chicago, he spent a year teaching English as a second language at a public high school in southern France. His research interests focus on the phenomenon of luxury in the late 19thand early 20thcenturies, at the intersection between aesthetic, economic, and social-scientific thought.
