Biography
My research explores the constellation between political struggle, critical theory, and inscriptions of “the Fantastic” in genre and high cultural texts across the long 20th century. I am interested in the ways that writers like Robert Aickman, Anna Kavan, and Walter de la Mare deploy the fantastic to reorient our received understandings of modernism and modernity.
