Biography
Before coming to the University of Chicago, Ashleigh received her B.A. in English and Studio Art from Hunter College, CUNY. She then received her M.A. in Liberal Studies from the Graduate Center of CUNY. For her master’s thesis she built an interactive digital remediation called Sonifying Hamlet that used data-mining techniques and algorithmic composition to read Shakespeare's Hamlet through sound. Then as now, in her free time she writes poetry and takes photographs.
